Mata-Au Lodge

A spacious, modern holiday home on the banks of the Mata-Au River in Beaumont. 15 mins from Lawrence and close to the Clutha Gold Biking trail. Guests love the space, amenities and large outdoor spa pool. Mata-Au Lodge makes a great stopover on the biking trails, or a place to base yourself in Central Otago. We offer daily bike shuttle transfers which means you don’t need to move on each day.

5 Lodge Bedrooms sleep up to 10 guests, with 4 x Queen bedrooms (with ensuite shower rooms) and a Twin bedroom. All bedding and towels provided.

A large entertaining kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and boasts a butlers pantry with additional oven. The large lounge has great views out out the river and there is a under cover BBQ area outside too. The large screen TV offers SKY, SKY SPORTS and a massage chair is a welcome way to soothe aching muscles.

Expansive lawns surround the property and there is lots of off-street parking available. The property is fenced but we do recommend care with younger children. We do not recommend swimming in the river (strong current).

Wedding & Venue Hire

Mata-Au Lodge is available for weddings and function hire in conjunction with our function centre. With space and seating for 80-90 people it makes a great venue for small weddings with plenty of parking available on-site. There is also a full bar and toilet facilities.
